Pengaruh Metode Visual Auditori Kinestetik Taktil (VAKT) Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Anak

The ability to read is a basic skill that must be possessed and mastered by children in order to understand various kinds of knowledge. Because by reading we can open a window to the world with a variety of knowledge. However, in reality not all children have good initial reading skills. Many children are left behind from their peers. For this reason, a method is needed in learning to read, especially in early reading for children so that they can overcome these problems.
The VAKT (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile) method is a learning method to improve beginning reading skills. This study aims to find out how the effect of the VAKT method on improving early reading skills in children. The subjects of this study were students at the Taman Pintar Learning Assistance Institute (LBB), Friends of Children's Schools. This study used a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this study amounted to 5 children. The data analysis method used is nonparametric techniques. The results showed that the VAKT method had an effect on improving children's early reading skills, with a value of (z = -2.023, p = 0.043 (p<0.050).
