Peningkatan Kecerdasan Numerik Siswa melalui Penerapan Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)

The main problem in this study is whether the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach can improve numerical intelligence in students and how to increase the activity of grade XI students before and after the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. This study aims to determine the increase in students' numerical intelligence through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning approach and the influence of grade XI student activities before and after the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. This research was conducted in class XI of SMAN 14 GOWA. The subjects in this study were students of grade XI Science 1. This type of research is class action research consisting of cycle I and cycle II. The instruments used are numerical intelligence tests, observation sheets, and student activity sheets. Data analysis techniques in this study use qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques, data obtained from observations of teacher teaching activities and student learning activities are analyzed qualitatively, while data obtained in the form of numerical intelligence test results are analyzed quantitatively. The results of the study were (1) there was an increase in numerical intelligence from cycle I 61.52 increased in cycle II 69.78, (2) there was an increase in student activity, (2) there was a change in student activity from cycle I 16 increased in cycle II 24.43.
This it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach shows an increase in students' numerical intelligence from cycle I to cycle II.

Abstrak:
Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan numerik pada siswa dan bagaimana peningkatan aktifitas siswa kelas XI sebelum dan sesudah penerapan pendektan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kecerdasan numerik siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan pengaruh aktifitas siswa kelas XI sebelum dan sesudah penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas XI SMAN 14 GOWA. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari siklus I dan siklus II. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kecerdasan numerik, lembar observasi, dan lembar aktifitas siswa. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif data yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi kegiatan mengajar guru dan aktifitas belajar siswa dianalisis secara kualitatif, sedangkan data yang diperoleh dalam bentuk nilai hasil tes kecerdasan numerik dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) terjadi peningkatan kecerdasan numerik dari siklus I 61,52 meningkat pada siklus II 69,78, (2) terjadi peningkatan aktivitas siswa, (2) terjadi perubahan aktivitas siswa dari siklus I 16 meningkat pada siklus II 24.43. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) menunjukkan peningkatan kecerdasan numerik siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II.
